MORE SPACE, MORE CLARITY, MORE PEACE OF MIND

You want to live with intention and make space for what matters most to you.

You’re ready to focus on what truly matters—memories, meaning, and the legacy you want to leave behind. Downsizing isn’t an ending; it’s a thoughtful step toward living with intention and passing on what really counts.

Swedish Death Cleaning is a meaningful way to lighten your home—and your heart—while making choices that reflect your values.

What is Swedish Death Cleaning?

Swedish Death Cleaning is a mindful, gentle way to sort through a lifetime of belongingskeeping what truly matters and letting go of the rest. The goal is to make life easier for yourself now, and to ease the burden on loved ones in the future.

While the name may sound somber, it’s really a life-affirming process that helps you create space for what you value most.

I understand—thinking about the future can feel overwhelming, and inviting someone into your home to help you make decisions about your belongings can be deeply personal.

But here's the beautiful part: this process doesn't have to be uncomfortable.

That 'stranger' quickly becomes a trusted guide and supportive presence. What once felt heavy becomes lighter, and instead of worry, there’s peace—knowing your family won’t be left with the burden of too much stuff.

Most importantly, you’ll create space to live intentionally, enjoy what truly matters, and spend more time with the people you love.

The average U.S. household contains around 300,000 items—a reflection of full and meaningful lives.

But when it comes time to sort through a loved one's belongings, the emotional weight and practical demands can be significant. Thoughtful planning can ease that burden. In fact, executors often spend over 500 hours settling an estate—something that can be made simpler and more meaningful with a little preparation and support.

That’s where I come in—offering guidance, support, and a compassionate approach as you thoughtfully let go of what no longer serves you.

When you're ready to simplify with intention and care, I’m here to help.

Here’s how it works—

Keep in mind that every Swedish Death Cleaning journey to live intentionally is personal, but here’s what it typically looks like when we work together:

  • 1. We start with a conversation.

We’ll talk about your home, your belongings, and your goals. You set the pace — this is your process.

  • 2. We go room by room or by category.

Together, we sort through items thoughtfully — clothes, books, papers, keepsakes, heirlooms, and more.

  • 3. You decide what stays and what goes.

I’m there to guide you, support you, and help you make decisions without pressure. You choose what still adds joy or purpose to your life.

  • 4. We thoughtfully part with what’s no longer needed.

Items can be donated, gifted to loved ones, sold, or recycled. Special pieces may be passed along now, while you can share their stories.

  • 5. We organize what remains.

What you keep will be beautifully organized, making your home lighter, simpler, and easier to manage.

With Swedish Death Cleaning you’ll enjoy…

  • A lighter, more peaceful home

  • Less stress for your loved ones later on

  • A clearer sense of what matters most

  • The joy of seeing cherished items appreciated now

  • A deep sense of accomplishment

“I'm grateful for Katherine’s incredible help in organizing my room and closet at my house. She brought a calm, supportive energy and knew exactly how to turn my mess into a space that feels like home and is functional. Thanks to her, everything has its place now, and I actually enjoy spending time in my room and can find everything easily. I couldn’t have done it without her! Thank you!”
